The Gothic Cross

This is a very elaborate and intricate cross.  It has rich gothic ornamentation. In the center of the cross there is a simple but effective portrait of Jesus. A beautiful and sober base completes the design. The cross is fixed to the base by two discrete pieces of wood, somehow making the impression that the cross floats in the air. The sides of the cross are formed by two pieces of wood, both of them fretworked. When the interior is linen with a contrasting linen, the result is very striking. This cross requires many hours of work but the result will be admired by everybody.

The following table gives the measures of the cross depending on the wood you use:

Cross Height Cross width and depth Base height Base width Base depth
1/4 and 1/8 in. wood 23.5 in. 3.6 in. 5,4 in. 14 in. 6.2 in.
8 and 4 mm. wood 74.7 cm. 11.5 cm. 17,2 cm. 44.4 cm. 19.6 cm.
