This a very decorative lantern in Japanese style. The sides show four different Japanese scenes. The text below the scenes reads ¨Japan, the land of the rising sun¨. The inner part of the sides can be covered with the material of your preference to produce different luminous effects. The pattern is based in a very old English design that I have completely redrawn in the computer.

This piece is designed to be made preferably with 1/4 inches wood or with 6 mm. wood. The following table gives the measures of the piece depending on the wood thickness you use:
