Lyre angels frame

This is a visually alluring design of a lyre frame. It is richly ornamented with leaves, flowers, angels and music motifs. It is a quite intricate project, but the results are particularly beautiful. The pattern is based in a masterpiece of the old Italian fretwork design school and dates back to around 1900.

This project is designed to be made preferably with 1/4 inches wood or with 6 mm. wood, but of course it can be scaled at will. The following table gives the measures of the frame depending on the wood width you use:

  Height Width
1/4 in. wood 20.5 in. 12.2 in.
6 mm. wood 49.1 cm 29.2 cm
