Persian cupboard

This is a fascinating cupboard with two drawers. It is exquisitely ornamented in a style of Persian inspiration, with several overlays and a lot of fretwork. The result is splendid. It is apparently very complicated to make but in fact it has no special difficulties and it can be completed with just enough patience. Among other things the restoration has been very careful to make the hinges installation and the cupboard mounting very easy.     The pattern is based in an old Italian design from the end of the XIX century that I have entirely reconstructed in the computer using the most advanced graphic techniques.

The Persian cupboard has been designed to use 3/16 inches wood or 5 mm. wood. By scaling the pattern appropriately any other wood thickness can also be used. These are the measures of the Persian cupboard depending on the wood thickness you use:

  Height Width Depth
3/16 inches wood 29 in. 21 in. 13.4 in.
1/4 inches wood 38,7 in. 28 in. 17.9 in.
5 mm. wood 77,3 cm. 56 cm. 35.7 cm.
6 mm. wood 93 cm. 67 cm. 43 cm.
8 mm. wood 124 cm. 89 cm. 57.3 cm.
