Shangai shelf

This is a very special shelf in Chinese style. The two racks are ornamented with attractive overlays and the sides are richly decorated with human figures in old Chinese costumes. The pattern is based in an old English design from the beginning of the XX century that I have entirely reconstructed in the computer.

These pictures have been kindly sent by Oleg Velesjuk from Kaliningrad, Russia.

The pattern has been designed to use 3/16 inches wood or 5 or 6 mm wood. By scaling the pattern appropriately any other wood widths can also be used. These are the measures of the shelf depending on the wood width you use:

  Height Width Depth
1/4 in. wood 23 in. 22,2 in. 8,1 in.
3/16 in. wood 17,3 in. 17,4 in. 6,1 in.
5 mm. wood 34,6 cm. 34,8 cm. 12,1 cm.
6 mm. wood 41,5 cm. 41,7 cm. 14,6 cm.

Please note that this pattern is registered and copyrighted. If you would like to have it I offer it for 11 € plus shipping. The pattern is computer made, which provides total precision, and nicely printed for convenient scrolling. Click here to buy this pattern. Write me to info@finescrollsaw.com for any questions.
