Chess box

This is a pattern for a chess box designed by the famous American scroll saw designer William J. Wild around 1886. The human figures on the sides of the box make it very peculiar. The pattern includes the lid in different language choices: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Russian. The pattern is printed to make the box with 3/16 inches wood or with 5 mm. wood, but of course it can be resized at will. This table gives the measures of the box depending on the wood thickness you use:

  Height Width Depth
 3/16 in. wood 6.1 in. 10.6 in. 8.6 in.
5 mm. wood 16.3 cm. 28.2 cm. 23 cm.

Please note that this pattern is registered and copyrighted. If you would like to have it I offer it for 9 € plus shipping. The pattern is computer made, which provides total precision, and nicely printed for convenient scrolling. Click here to buy this pattern. Write me to info@finescrollsaw.com for any questions.
