Rome coffer

This is a cute coffer with a huge amount of fretwork. In particular the center contains three female figures with an insane amount of complicated cuts. It is probably a good idea to scale up the pattern so that making the project becomes a bit simpler.

The pattern is based on an old Italian design from the beginning of the XX century. It has been completely redrawn in the computer using the most advanced graphics techniques.

The coffer is designed to be made preferably with 1/8 inches wood or with 3 mm. wood. By scaling the pattern appropriately other wood thickness can also be used. The following table gives the measures of the coffer depending on the wood thickness you use.

  Height Side
1/8 in. wood 3.9 in. 11 in.
3/16 in. wood 5.9 in. 16.5 in.
3 mm. wood 9.4 cm. 26.4 cm.
4 mm. wood 12.5 cm. 35.2 cm.
5 mm. wood 15.7 cm. 44 cm.
